It is quite simple to make, and doesn't take much tools and ingredients. Before i write down the recipe, i have to admit that i used instant cake mix :p
But it's still so good, you gotta try this one.. ^^
Originally it must have chocolate layer in the middle instead of blueberry, but i think it would make the cake way too sweet. Beside, the sour taste of the blueberry and the sweetness from the chocolate is a great combo..
Okay then, here we go:
Ingredients:
270 gr instant cake mixture, i use the Haan mix
2 eggs
100 cc vegetable oil
50 cc heavy cream
100 gr dark chocolate compound
1/4 cup of blueberry jam
How to prepare:
- Heat the steamer on high flame
- Put the mixture, eggs and vegetable oil in a bowl, beat them with hand mixer on high speed for about 3 minutes
- Pour the batter in the pan that already greased with margarine
- Put it in the steamer for 25 minutes, keep the flame high
- Heat the whipped cream with a double boiler, then put the chocolate compound in, mix it well
- Take out the pan from the steamer, let it cool down a bit then put the cake on a plate
- Slice the cake horizontally, smear the blueberry jam in the middle and cover the top with the ganache
- Keep it in the fridge, and serve cool
Note:
- i use loaf alumunium pan, the size is 19,5 x 10 x 4 cm
- i only use 2/3 of the instant mixture, if you want to use all of it, just add one more egg and 50cc vegetables oil, you will need a bigger pan of course
- you can adjust the amount of heavy cream and chocolate compound as you like
- you can also put strawberries, peaches, or anything you like on the top
Sorry for the poor lighting.. enjoy! ^^
